Designing refuge into a brand known for access
As Creative Director, I led the identity refresh of AOL under the guidance of Yahoo’s CEO and CMO. Working closely with AOL’s product executive team, I reimagined the brand as a refuge from the noise of the internet. This included refreshing the iconic running man, crafting a new custom logotype, and shifting the brand’s palette from a cold blue to a warmer, more actionable yellow. I developed a flexible design system and visual language that helped reposition AOL as a more human, approachable, and culturally resonant experience across platforms.
